County Shelter Worker Training May 17 2017

The County of San Diego Office of Emergency Services will be offering a County Shelter Worker Training on Wednesday, May 17th from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the County EOC (5580 Overland Avenue, San Diego).

While this training is geared towards County employees, the course is being opened up to CERT members who may wish to attend. This course will provide attendees with critical information related to opening, operating and closing an emergency shelter.

There are only 20 seats available.

In order to receive a Shelter Worker lD Card, you need to have an active (unexpired) CERT DSW ID card and have completed the background check.

Interested individuals must RSVP by Friday, May 12th to Julie.Jeakle@sdcounty.ca.gov. Be sure to include your CERT organization, e.g., Encinitas CERT.

Note: This training will NOT satisfy the DSW Renewal annual training requirement. If you need to satisfy the training requirement to renew your DSW card, please attend the May 13 Academy final drill.
