Volunteers Needed – Encinitas Street Fair Apr 29 & 30 2017

CERT Team Member,

Encinitas CERT (EncCERT) will be participating in the Annual Encinitas Spring
Street Fair on Saturday and Sunday April 29 & 30. The Encinitas Street Fairs
have been one of the primary source for citizens to sign up for EncCERT as well
as donors and grantors to see the EncCERT programs and progress. It is an important
event for us. EncCERT will be promoting the “Are You Ready” and “Hand’s Free CPR”
programs as well.

Volunteers will briefly explain CERT responsibilities and emergency preparedness
to, and collect basic contact information from, those who stop by and are interested in our
programs. Handouts and brochures will be used.

Volunteers are needed to work two-hour shifts between the hours of 8 AM and
6:00 PM. As a volunteer you’ll be expected to hand out brochures and
take down the names of folks interested in our programs… easy peasy!

If you have never participated in the Encinitas Fair you’ll find it fun,
friendly, and relaxed. You’ll have an opportunity to meet friends, other
EncCERT members, and make new friends. So sign up for a time block!

The Encinitas Spring Fair is one of the largest street festivals in San Diego County,
with over 450 vendor booths, featuring arts and crafts, antiques, clothing, items
from around the world, good food, live music and much more. There are children’s rides,
four live stages, and the Karl Stauss Brewery beer garden. S. Coast Highway 101 from
D to J streets will be the location of the event. Our booth is located in front of
Angelo’s Restaurant off of E street.

More information about the Spring Street Fair is on the Encinitas 101 website.
