There will be a Countywide CERT training exercise Saturday June 22 2019. The exercise starts at 8 AM and will last until 2 PM. The location is the Oceanside Fire Training Center, 110 Jones Road, Oceanside. Google Map.
Participants should park on the street, not within the FTC grounds, with the exception of Disabled Permit tagged vehicles.
This year’s scenario-based drill will focus on 3 objectives: Setting up a CERT level Command Center (ICS), Search and Rescue procedures, and Triage concepts.
We believe this will be the only Countywide drill in 2019.
Morning coffee and pastries, and water, will be provided. Participants should pack their own lunch and snacks.
A current CERT DSW card is required.
Participants should have all appropriate CERT clothing and gear. Hard shoes/boots, long pants and sleeves, CERT vest, hardhat, pack, personal protective gear etc. At some past drills, improperly attired / equipped participants have been turned away and not allowed to participate. Bring sunscreen.
Billets at this drill are very limited, so register early if you want to attend. Members who want to participate, or with questions, email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Initial submissions are required by COB Thursday June 13. There will be a waiting list in case additional billets become available.
[+] Verified participation satisfies the DSW Renewal annual training requirement.
